Minnesota Timberwolves fans have known for years that Anthony Edwards is simply a different breed. Never the type to shy away from any kind of competition, Ant loves embracing a challenge, and his infectious personality makes him just the kind of player to become a future face of the league.

Edwards has been reminding us of this all through the Olympic preparation period. From stating that he is the top option on Team USA, to beating Stephen Curry in a shooting competition, we can clearly see that his typical persona has not faded in the face of this big stage.

The latest development regarding Ant came at Team USA's practice on Thursday. A photo was snapped during practice that shows Edwards dunking all over his favorite player, Kevin Durant.

Video of the dunk has yet to be released. However, not much more evidence is needed for us to see that this was a massive moment for the Timberwolves' star. Ant has undoubtedly been going at his teammates ever since the start of training camp, and this had to be one of his most memorable achievements yet.

Of course, Wolves fans went wild reacting to this legendary photo.

Timberwolves fans reacted to the viral moment on social media

One fan saw this moment as a "passing of the torch" situation, with Ant reminding KD that he is on the rise and Durant's time is nearly up. Others called back to the first-round playoff series between Phoenix and Minnesota, where the Timberwolves of course swept the series and Edwards took every opportunity to gloat.

As he often does, even Durant himself chimed in. Quoting the original picture, KD said "I tried Jennifer," referencing CJ McCollum's old viral tweet from years ago. Knowing how much Durant loves hoops and seems to enjoy the banter with Ant, we have to wonder if he even enjoyed the moment a bit.
