Summer League is now complete, and the Minnesota Timberwolves' roster is nearly set for the 2024-25 NBA season. Now, the league has officially announced the Wolves' preseason slate for October.
Last year, Minnesota began preseason in Abu Dhabi. This time around, they will play five exhibition contests all in the United States. The first will be a game against the Lakers in Palm Springs, CA, where the Lake Show routinely hosts preseason action.
From there, Minnesota will travel to the site of their G League affiliate in Des Moines, IA, to host the new-look Philadelphia 76ers.
Timberwolves 2024-25 preseason schedule:
- Friday, October 4 vs Los Angeles Lakers (Acrisure Arena, Palm Springs, CA, 9:30 PM)
- Friday, October 11 vs Philadelphia 76ers (Wells Fargo Arena, Des Moines, IA, 6:00 PM)
- Sunday, October 13 at New York Knicks (Madison Square Garden, 6:00 PM)
- Wednesday, October 16 at Chicago Bulls (United Center, 7:00 PM)
- Friday, October 18 vs Denver Nuggets (Target Center, 7:00 PM)
Following their trip to Des Moines, the Timberwolves are repeating two road trips from the 2023 preseason in traveling to New York and Chicago to take on the Knicks and Bulls. They will round out the five-game preseason slate with a home matchup with their old friends, the Denver Nuggets.
Wolves fans who live in the Twin Cities can begin to get excited and make plans for the first time they can see their team compete at the Target Center next season on October 18. The regular season NBA schedule is set to be released in mid-August.
