Timberwolves Summer League roster: Full updated list of players
By Austin McGee
Josh Minott
Experience: 3rd Year
Position: Forward
At 21, former Memphis forward Josh Minott is entering his third professional season. Minnesota used the 45th overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft to select Minott after playing one season collegiately. Minott suited up for the Tigers, where he averaged just 6.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
Although he was seldom used in college, Minott has impressed in the G-League. In his rookie season, the 6-foot-8 forward averaged 17.8 points and 8.5 rebounds for the Iowa Wolves. He also appeared in 15 games for the Timberwolves and scored 46 points.
A season ago, Minott's appearances rose to 32. However, the former Tiger only hit the hardwood for 91 minutes—five less than his rookie season. In year two, Minott scored 50 points, hauled in 17 rebounds, and dished out eight assists.
This will be Minott's third consecutive season suiting up for the Timberwolves' summer league squad. He's improved his scoring average in each exhibition season, going from 12.2 to 16.4. Like Miller, Minott will likely be counted on as a rotational contributor come next season.
