Daishen Nix

Experience: 4th Year

Position: Guard

One of the most experienced, yet nowhere near the oldest, Daishen Nix began his professional career at 19 years old, suiting up for the G-League Ignite. In his lone season playing for the Ignite, Nix averaged 8.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game.

Nix went undrafted but signed with the Houston Rockets following the 2021 NBA Draft. Across two seasons in Houston, Nix appeared in 81 games and scored 303 points. After two seasons playing for the Rockets, Minnesota signed Nix to a two-way contract.

This past season, Nix only averaged 3.3 minutes per game in 15 appearances. The 22-year-old received more run in the G-League. He averaged 19.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game in six games for the Iowa Wolves.

Although he's demonstrated an extremely versatile game, the 6-foot-5 point guard has never shot the ball efficiently. Nix only connected on 37.4 percent of his field goals and 20.9 percent of his three-pointers this past season. His unique build (225 pounds) allows him to get to the rim with relative ease, but improving his shot will be needed to contribute at the next level.
