Tyler Wahl

Experience: Rookie

Position: Forward

Former Wisconsin forward Tyler Wahl spent five seasons playing for the Badgers. The 6-foot-9 forward appeared in 162 games—the most in school history. Over five years, Wahl averaged 8.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.

The Minnesota native came to Wisconsin as a highly-touted four-star recruit and lived up to his billing. Wahl's best season came as a junior. In 2021-22, he averaged 11.4 points and 5.9 rebounds while connecting on 51.6 percent of his field goal attempts.

After five seasons in Madison, Wahl will suit up for his home state Timberwolves. Wahl, who starred for Lakeville North High School, grew up just 30 minutes away from the Target Center. The homegrown talent is a unique player. Wahl didn't shoot often outside the paint, but he can handle the ball and make all the right passes.

Wahl, although undersized, did his damage on the interior. He's a strong offensive rebounder who fights hard on the glass to score putbacks. Additionally, Wahl can score in the post using both right and left-handed hook shots to shoot over lankier defenders.
