Timberwolves Summer League roster: Full updated list of players
By Austin McGee
Kok Yat
Experience: Rookie
Position: Forward
Former Overtime Elite forward Kok Yat spent last season playing for the Iowa Wolves. The 6-foot-8 Yat spent two years playing for Team OTE, but he appeared in a meager nine games due to injury.
Despite limited court time, Yat played in 26 games last year for the Wolves. In 26 appearances and three starts, Yat averaged 4.8 points, 1.2 rebounds, and a three-pointer per game. The 6-foot-9 forward is an explosive athlete who should be due for a few highlight-worthy plays.
Yat's vertical is over 40 inches and at 6-foot-8, he has the dexterity to throw down windmill dunks in both a transition and halfcourt setting. Although tall and athletic, Yat's lack of strength will hold him back against bulkier forwards. The Alaska native only weighs 195 pounds.
Summer league will allow Yat to display his athleticism and 3-and-D potential. His career has been brief thus far, but his potential is sky-high. Additional seasons in the G-League will surely help Yat grow physically and as a player,
