Gabe Kalscheur
Experience: Rookie
Position: Guard
6-foot-4 guard Gabe Kalscheur spent five seasons collegiately suiting up for the University of Minnesota and Iowa State. Between the two Midwest schools, Kalscheur appeared in 156 games. Of his 156 appearances, Kalscheur started 145 games.
Following a long college career, Kalscheur went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft. He caught on with the Wizards' G-League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go before being waived in mid-Febraury. The 25-year-old guard signed with the Iowa Wolves to finish the season.
In limited run, Kalscheur averaged 4.4 points across 14 appearances. As a pro, the Iowa State product profiles as a combo guard. He's not a primary creator but he can handle the ball and assume playmaking duties in a pinch.
Despite an inconsistent three-point clip, Kalscheur has a picturesque shooting form. The combo guard only shot above 40 percent in one season at Minnesota—his freshman year. In the G-League, Kalscheur only made 15 of his 53 three-point attempts.
