During the offseason, plenty of the Minnesota Timberwolves players are off traveling the world, either training or simply vacationing in spots all around the globe. But the ones who are frequently spotted around the Twin Cities during the summer typically get some extra appreciation from the fanbase for embracing the city.

This offseason, one of those players is Luka Garza. The soon-to-be fourth-year big man is currently in the area and will reportedly be participating in the Twin Cities Pro-Am. The event takes place on multiple nights throughout the summer, but the game Luka intends to play in will be on Thursday night at 7:00 PM local time.

Luka Garza will compete in Thursday night's Pro-Am

It will be an excellent opportunity for Garza to get some reps in while interacting with the community and deepening his connection with the fans. This past year, in his second season with the Timberwolves, Luka appeared in 25 games and shot 48% from the floor while playing just 4.9 minutes per night.

Certainly, it is hard to build consistency while playing so sparingly. But Garza's playing time was not due to a lack of ability, as Minnesota's roster was simply loaded with top-level talent that would have made it hard for a lot of players around the league to find a true role.

With Luka now operating on a new two-year, standard deal with the Wolves, playing in the Pro-Am will be a good opportunity for him to continue immersing himself in the city's culture.
