The Minnesota Timberwolves will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back when they welcome the Cleveland Cavaliers to Target Center on Saturday. The Wolves are coming off one of their best games of the season after taking down the Knicks on the road on Friday night. Though New York was without Karl-Anthony Towns, it was still an impressive performance for Minnesota.
Their opponent on Saturday holds the best record in the Eastern Conference, and boasts the NBA's best offensive efficiency rating. The Cavs are a well-oiled machine, and they will be a tough out even on the road. The Timberwolves will have to get extra-solid performances from guys like Anthony Edwards and Naz Reid two nights in a row to have a chance of pulling this one off.
Timberwolves projected starting lineup vs Cavaliers
Donte DiVincenzo will be out for the second straight night for Minnesota. Dealing with a toe sprain, Chris Finch went back to Mike Conley in Friday night's starting lineup at point guard. Look for him to do the same against Cleveland.
Mike Conley
Anthony Edwards
Jaden McDaniels
Julius Randle
Rudy Gobert
