The Minnesota Timberwolves will look to win their third game in a row when they return to the court on Sunday evening against the San Antonio Spurs. Playing at Target Center for the first time in eight days, the Wolves will be trying to retain the energy from the fourth quarter of their incredible, gutsy win over the Houston Rockets on Friday.
This will be the third of Minnesota's four meetings with San Antonio this season. The Timberwolves have already played the Spurs twice on the road, losing on November 2 and winning on December 15. Victor Wembanyama will be a handful to deal with, and the steady veterans around him only maximize his ability. But all things considered, this is a very winnable game for the Wolves.
San Antonio is still a work in progress. With Minnesota having what amounts to a big talent disparity compared to the Spurs' roster, they are in a solid position to take care of business before facing off with Oklahoma City and Boston in their next two outings.
