There are some obvious questions surrounding the Minnesota Timberwolves' upcoming season. Many are still wondering if the team will end up regretting the blockbuster trade for Julius Randle, with the roster now having to adjust to two heavy-minutes players.

Over the course of the last four seasons, Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns had truly built great chemistry. With Ant's rise to undeniable stardom, it was likely hard for KAT to accept not being the team's top option as a former first-overall pick himself as well.

But Towns showed great humility in letting Edwards take the reigns and become the face of the Timberwolves. What had become a fantastic connection between Minnesota's two stars will now face a total reset with Randle taking KAT's place in the starting lineup.

It remains to be seen just how well those two will work together as what we assume will be the team's top two scoring options. But there have already been some positive signs. According to Shams Charania, Ant and Julius "have been hitting it off behind the scenes."

Shams: Edwards and Randle have already "hit it off" in training camp

Appearing on ESPN's show NBA Today recently, Shams detailed what he has been hearing out of sources from the Timberwolves' training camp and preseason process. "What I've heard is Julius Randle has been going hard," he said. "He's been playing, he's been practicing, doing bits and pieces more every single day."

Since Randle is still yet to appear in a preseason contest for Minnesota, this is surely reassuring news for the fanbase. But the best news from Shams was that Randle and Edwards have already made a connection. "Everything I hear, I spoke to a few people today, they've been hitting it off behind the scenes.

And I think how competitive, and we know the spirit Julius Randle has from a competitive perspective," said Shams. "Him and Donte DiVincenzo, the Timberwolves really believe bring a uniqueness when it comes to that competitive fire, and that's obviously something that's going to play really well with Anthony Edwards. Those two have hit it off already in training camp."

This is a great sign for Minnesota's team chemistry before the season has even begun. Sometimes it may take weeks or even months for new teammates to get acclimated before chemistry starts to grow to a meaningful level. But Randle getting comfortable with the guys so quick is a great sign of things to come for the Timberwolves' season.
