The Minnesota Timberwolves have gotten back to their winning ways as of late behind the return of their championship-caliber defense. After a very inconsistent start to the season at that end of the floor, the Wolves have begun to figure some things out and have utterly dominated on defense over the last three games.

Oddly enough, Minnesota has matched up with the two Los Angeles teams in each of their last three contests, winning each game and surrendering an average of just 84 points per matchup. They are certainly starting to look more like the squad that put together the league's top defense a season ago.

Friday night, the Timberwolves will have their defensive effort tested by an improved Golden State Warriors squad. But the biggest question is whether one of the top offensive forces in the game will be good to go: Stephen Curry.

Is Stephen Curry playing tonight vs Timberwolves?

The Warriors got off to a hot start this season, winning 12 of their first 15 games and shooting to the top of the Western Conference standings. They did it in spite of Curry missing a few games due to nagging tendinitis in his knees.

After struggling and dropping five games in a row more recently, it became clear just how much Golden State was going to need Steph in their lineup to achieve their potential. He did not play in the Warriors' Thursday night win over the Houston Rockets.

As of right now, it looks as though Curry is planning to play against the Timberwolves on Friday, according to Steve Kerr.

Jaylen Clark (two-way), Rob Dillingham (right ankle sprain), Jesse Edwards (two-way), Joe Ingles (left soleus strain) and Leonard Miller (G League assignment) are all out against the Warriors on Friday.

Dillingham will miss his fourth consecutive game for the Timberwolves after previously earning minutes in Mike Conley's absence.

De'Anthony Melton (ACL) is out and Draymond Green (calf) is questionable.

Green underwent an MRI for his calf earlier this week that came back negative. Kerr mentioned it being "possible" Draymond could play against Minnesota.
