Now that the offseason has concluded, it's clear that the Minnesota Timberwolves have found themselves in one of the most impressive situations in the NBA: They have one of the most well-balanced rosters in the league. At first, it looked like they could be lacking at the power forward position, but signing Jonathan Kuminga helped fix that issue.
Now, the Wolves have pretty good depth at every single position. They have plenty of guards, plenty of wings, plenty of forwards, and solid center depth. They have guys who can shoot, guys who can defend, and guys who can do a little bit of everything on the basketball court. Most teams in the league can't lay claim to stuff like that.
The Wolves might not have the most talented roster in the league. Teams like the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, and New York Knicks are closer to that title. But Minnesota is balanced.

Anthony Edwards is the head of the snake. Every great team needs a superstar, and for the Wolves, Edwards has been that guy for the better part of the last five years.
Then, this summer, the Wolves made sure to land Edwards a quality co-star. They made a giant trade for LaMelo Ball, shipping Naz Reid to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for the star point guard.
Past that, the Wolves also have a defensive anchor. Rudy Gobert. He's a four-time Defensive Player of the Year winner and one of the best anchors in the NBA.
Then, when you consider the fact that they have paired Gobert with guys like Jaden McDaniels and Ayo Dosunmu on the defensive end, it's clear that the Timberwolves should be one of the best defensive teams in the league yet again next season. That is, if they can make up for Ball's lack of talent on that end.
Past those guys, Kuminga is going to help out a ton, but he's not their only depth. Dosunmu is slated to come off the bench, and alongside him are guys like Jaylen Clark, Terrence Shannon Jr., and even rookie Isaiah Evans.
The Wolves trust Joan Beringer to be their backup center, and they've even taken a chance on young guys like Cody Williams and Rocco Zikarsky.
Add in the end-of-the-bench guys like Trey Lyles and Bones Hyland, and the Wolves have a bit of everything.
A lot of teams have holes on their roster. And maybe the Wolves will by the deadline. But the way things look right now, the Wolves are one of the most balanced teams in the league.
