Minnesota’s regular season will begin with two games on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers on October 22 and the Los Angeles Lakers on October 24. Their home opener is 46 days away (as of September 10) on October 26 against the Pacers. That is the first end of a back-to-back at the Target Center, as the following day, they are facing arguably their biggest rival in the Denver Nuggets.
For fans who may be looking to enjoy a game on the weekend when they have more availability, that Indiana home opener is on a Sunday. Other weekend contests in Minnesota taking place somewhat early in the regular season include the Nuggets on Saturday, November 15, the Boston Celtics on Saturday, November 29, and the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, November 30.
Their final home game of the regular season, which is also their regular season finale, will be on Sunday, April 12, against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Best home record came in 2002-03
The Timberwolves went 25-16 at home during last year’s regular season. That was one game better than their record of 24-17 in away games. The previous year, they went a stellar 30-11 at the Target Center.
That mark was just three games off the franchise’s single-season best home record. That came in 2002-03 when they went 33-8 in their home regular season games.
