- Leonard Miller
Wolves assistant coach Kevin Hanson will lead Minnesota's Summer League squad. This group offers a combination of familiar faces and exciting newcomers.
Familiar faces on the Wolves Summer League roster
Terrence Shannon Jr, Rob Dillingham, and Jaylen Clark are poised for bigger roles next season, especially with Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s departure. All three players showed several flashes of their potential during their rookie seasons. Shannon’s microwave three-level scoring, Clark’s on-ball defense, and Dillingham’s blend of scoring and playmaking will all be impactful next season. At the Summer League, these three players are all primed to dominant.
Leonard Miller is entering his third season with the Wolves and could also be in line for a bigger role. He is an NBA-level defender but hasn’t developed much on offense. Nevertheless, he is poised to have a strong impact in Las Vegas.
Additionally, Jesse Edwards and Tristen Newton return to the Wolves after spending their rookie season as two-way players. Martez Brown, Babacar Sane, Amari Bailey, and Nojel Eastern all spent time with the Wolves G League squad last year. Having just over half the roster as returning players to some degree could benefit the Wolves in Las Vegas.
The rooks and another intriguing newcomer
17th overall pick Joan Beringer is on the Summer League roster. Watching how the athletic 18-year-old big man adjusted to an NBA-style game will be intriguing. 45th overall pick Rocco Zikarsky isn’t on the roster right now. However, he is expected to be added to the roster once the draft day trade is finalized.
Was told this big ol 7-team sign and trade needs to go down before those teams can put some of their drafted rookies on their summer league rosters — including Rocco Zikarsky for the Wolves.

Charleston’s CJ Fulton and Loyola Chicago’s Des Watson round out the Wolves' rookie class in the Summer League. Both undrafted players could be given a chance to compete for a training camp roster spot and may very well play for the Iowa G League squad next season.
Jamal Cain is an interesting name to watch on the Wolves’ Summer League roster. The 6-foot-7 forward has played in 81 games for the Miami Heat and New Orleans Pelicans over the past three seasons. Cain could be in play for a two-way roster spot.
Ultimately, the Wolves Summer League squad offers plenty of upside and could very well be one of the best teams in Vegas.
