The Minnesota Timberwolves are hosting the Toronto Raptors on Thursday at 6 p.m. CT. With playoff seeding on the line, every night during the stretch run of the regular season, each game becomes more important. The 35-26 Raptors pose a difficult matchup for Minnesota. Things could get even more challenging for both sides, though, given the uncertain status of key stars.Â
Without any further ado, here's a full injury report for both sides.Â
3/5: Timberwolves full injury report vs. Raptors
- Anthony Edwards (Right Foot Maintenance) - QUESTIONABLEÂ
- Jaylen Clark (Illness) - QUESTIONABLE
- Joe Ingles (Personal) - OUTÂ
Both Anthony Edwards and Jaylen Clark popped up on the injury report Thursday after originally not having a designation.Â
Edwards' absence would, of course, be significant for the Wolves. If he is out, expect the Wolves to empower Julius Randle and Jaden McDaniels more. Ant has missed 10 games due to injury this season. This includes six games with a recurring foot injury.
Nevertheless, his last missed game was on January 28, and this injury shouldn't be overly concerning even if he sits on Thursday.Â
Ant is playing the best basketball of his career, averaging 29.7 points, so even if this injury is bugging him a bit, you would never know it watching him. If Edwards needs a night to sit out and rest to prepare for the playoffs, that's perfectly fine. Regardless, it wouldn't be surprising to see Edwards take the court despite this appearance on the injury report.Â
Clark's possible absence won't change things too much, as the young wing has recently found himself outside of the Wolves' rotation.Â
3/5: Raptors full injury report vs. Timberwolves
- Brandon Ingram (Thumb) - QUESTIONABLEÂ
- Collin Murray-Boyles (Thumb) - OUT
Much like the Wolves, Toronto is dealing with an uncertain status for one of its star players. Averaging 22 points a game, Ingram is the team's leading scorer and was named an All-Star this season. He has also been remarkably healthy, only missing two games with a thumb injury. These two games he missed were back in January, but much like Ant, this injury appears to be bugging Ingram again to some degree.Â
The Raptors are less dependent on Ingram than the Wolves are on Ant. If Ingram is unable to play, expect Scottie Barnes to take on more responsibilities as a primary scorer, with RJ Barrett also seeing a bump in usage as well.Â
Collin Murray-Boyles is out, and he is also dealing with a thumb injury, which has sidelined him for the past two games. The rookie's absence should be glossed over, as his versatility has been an underrated part of the Raptors' top 10 defense.
Once we get more updates on the status of these players, this article will be updated, so stay tuned.Â
