The Minnesota Timberwolves will return to the court on Monday night against the Sacramento Kings for the first time since their Saturday night loss to the Washington Wizards. Even though the Wolves were without Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle, this was still a highly embarrassing loss to a team that came in having lost 16 in a row.
Right in the middle of trade season, Minnesota will be facing off with a Sacramento team that just pulled off a blockbuster trade. The Kings sent De'Aaron Fox (and former Timberwolves player Jordan McLaughlin) to the San Antonio Spurs in a three-team deal that netted them Zach LaVine, Sidy Cissoko and a host of draft picks.
Will Zach LaVine play against the Timberwolves?
With that situation still being sorted out, the Timberwolves will catch a break as LaVine is not expected to make his Kings debut until Wednesday. Even so, Minnesota can not take this matchup lightly, especially after what happened on Saturday.
