Minnesota Timberwolves Preview

Record: 25-50 (13-25 Home, 12-25 Away)

Starting Lineup

PG — Ricky Rubio (10.6 ppg, 8.7 apg, 4.4 rpg, 2.1 spg)

SG — Zach LaVine (14.0 ppg, 3.0 apg, 2.8 rpg)

SF — Andrew Wiggins (20.5 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 2.0 apg)

PF — Gorgui Dieng (10.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.2 bpg)

C — Karl-Anthony Towns (18.3 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.7 bpg)

Key Reserves

Shabazz Muhammad (9.9 ppg, 3.4 rpg) played pretty well in extended minutes against the Clippers brought about by the blowout loss. Although he shot just 5-12 from the field for 11 points, his eight rebounds and four assists were a nice addition.

Bazz has bounced back a little bit the last few games after an extended slump, so hopefully he gets back to doing classic Shabazz things against the Jazz (that is, scoring in bunches and being a beast on the boards).

Nemanja Bjelica (4.5 ppg, 3.2 rpg) is another sub that played well against the Clippers with some extra playing time. Bjelica had his best game since early in the season, scoring 14 points on 4-5 shooting (including 1-1 from three and 5-6 from the line).

His six free throw attempts, along with the seven rebounds that he grabbed, shows how aggressive that he was in that game. Bjelica needs to continue to show that if he wants a bigger role next year.
