There are plenty of NBA Rumors swirling around right now as Minnesota Timberwolves Tim Connelly focuses on hires for his staff. We had already touched base over the potential recruitment and hiring of two former Connelly associates: Denver Broncos Basketball Operations Associate Darrell Arthur and Utah Jazz Assistant Basketball coach Dell Demps.

But that was just the tip of the iceberg. Now, the latest hot whisper on the street is that Connelly has his eyes set upon Miami Heat VP Adam Simon as a key addition. Another possible addition is Orlando Magic’s Matt Lloyd, but we’ll touch on that particular NBA Rumor in a different article.

One at a time, lol.

Right now, the Minnesota Timberwolves continue to be linked to NBA executives, but not to how those names match up to a specific role with the organization.

The Miami Heat have been somewhat successful at rebooting their roster after adding former Timberwolves guard Jimmy Butler. That is something that the former regime was unable to accomplish, leading to a very disgruntled Butler demanding a trade, and the beginning of another Minnesota Timberwolves decline.

Adam Simon is the current Miami Heat Vice President of Basketball Operations. His career with the Heat spans 25 years, and his accomplishments over that time include playing a significant role in the Heat drafting such players as Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, Justise Winslow, and Josh Richardson. It is that fine eye for young NBA talent that could place his name on a shortlist of executives to add to the Minnesota Timberwolves front office.

While all we have so far amount to word-of-mouth NBA Rumors, I believe that these names are not all in line for new roles with the Timberwolves, but rather might be names for one or two roles in the organization. Time will tell, so stay tuned.
