Thursday night's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers was just about as frustrating as they come. The Minnesota Timberwolves' second half rally fell short, and it is hard to say they would not have had a much greater chance of escaping with a win had Anthony Edwards been out on the floor.

Edwards' self-control has been challenged this season, and he has not always done the greatest job of internalizing his frustrations. Headed into Thursday, Ant had 14 technical fouls to his name this season. He earned his 15th technical after a brief altercation with Jarred Vanderbilt in the first half, and his 16th in the third quarter.

The second tech, of course, was a double whammy. It not only got him ejected from the game, but with it being his 16th of the season, it handed him an automatic one-game suspension. Edwards will now miss the Timberwolves' game against the Utah Jazz on Friday. Visibly frustrated, Ant threw the ball into the stands on his way to the locker room following his ejection. But he apparently did not let that frustration carry over into the locker room.

Ant apologized to the rest of the locker room

Once he got to the locker room and after the game was over, Edwards reportedly apologized to his teammates for his ejection. Say what you want about Ant and the way he carries himself, but owning up to your mistakes like this is the kind of behavior every fanbase should want to see out of their star player.

Sure, you can say that he should have controlled himself better earlier on, so as not to get ejected in the first place. Then he would not have needed to apologize for it. That much is true. But once he did make the mistake, a lesser player would have shrugged off the issue, not brought it up to his teammates or claimed "it's no big deal."

Edwards made sure to fess up to his shortcoming. He can continue to work on his self-control during the games, but for now, this was the best response one could ask for in a post-game situation.
