Julius Randle is loving one particular thing about life in Minnesota

Randle's answer was surprising.

Big changes have gone down in the last two weeks, and the Minnesota Timberwolves will have some fresh faces taking the court when they appear on the NBA's opening night on October 22. Karl-Anthony Towns will be swapped out for Julius Randle in the starting lineup, and Donte DiVincenzo will be coming off the bench to give the Wolves' second unit a big lift.

Yes, Minnesota will look like a different team than the one fans have grown accustomed to over the last couple of seasons. However, this roster-shaking trade was made with precision. The Timberwolves still remain one of the most dangerous teams in the league and should be considered among the top championship contenders in the Western Conference once again.

In the meantime, the new players have been getting acclimated to life in the Twin Cities. Julius Randle's wife, Kendra, recently spoke about the adjustment of moving from New York to Minneapolis, and expressed that she and her husband are ready to take on this new challenge. By all means, they both appeared ready and excited to be living in Minnesota.

For Julius, there seems to be one thing he has enjoyed quite a bit since making the big move. According to Timberwolves podcaster and reporter Dane Moore, Randle mentioned "the food" of Minnesota several times during a media session on Monday.

Randle is a big fan of the food in Minnesota

I am sure local fans and lifelong Minnesotans will be quick to agree with Julius here. There is no record of Randle saying what types of food he has been enjoying or why he sees it as different from New York's food scene, but we know that having your stomach fulfilled is an important part of living in any new place.

Perhaps if he has not already, Julius can stop by Parkway Pizza in northeast Minneapolis, which is the location of the famous "honk if you love Naz Reid" sign. The Timberwolves still have three more days until their next preseason game, so there is plenty of time for Randle to poke around and find more go-to spots after a workout.

This whole subject may seem like a small thing, but I believe it is more evidence that Julius is truly happy in Minnesota. He gave plenty of praise to Chris Finch during his intro presser last week, and now he has expressed rave reviews for the local food as well. All signs are pointing toward this being an excellent fit so far.
