Minnesota Timberwolves fans are more than aware of the incredible, infectious confidence of Anthony Edwards. His uncanny and sometimes even unfounded belief in himself is a major reason he has achieved as much success as he has early on in his career, and it is certainly a reason he is currently competing with the US Olympic team in Europe.

We have already seen Ant show his top-level belief in himself while with Team USA in preparation for the Paris Olympics. Before the team's first exhibition game even took place, he was ready to call himself the top option of a team that featured a host of other all-world talents from the NBA.

Now, video has been released from a Team USA practice on Friday that saw Edwards take on Stephen Curry in a shooting competition... and win.

Edwards beat Steph Curry in a shooting competition

The thought of anyone taking down the universally accepted best shooter of all-time is nearly unthinkable, so leave it to Anthony Edwards to achieve such an incredible feat. The video shows the two taking turns attempting half court shots, one after the other.

Ant makes his first attempt, then calls back to Curry behind him, "There we go Steph!" When Curry makes his first attempt as well, he shouts back to Edwards, "Don't go nowhere!" But after Ant nails his second shot from half court, Steph fails to hit his, leaving Edwards as the victor.

This is yet another display of the unrivaled confidence we routinely see from the Timberwolves' franchise star. The mental edge Edwards is bringing to Team USA may end up as an under-discussed contribution to their greatness.
