Anthony Edwards threatens to dunk on Timberwolves fan
By Justin Lee
We all know the type of guy that Anthony Edwards is. He is one of the best young players in the league who has also managed to place himself in that top-two-way player's conversation. He is the franchise guy for the Minnesota Timberwolves, right next to Karl-Anthony Towns. But he is also a jokester and a funny one at that.
There are a lot of unserious, funny guys in the NBA, but it's pretty clear that when Ant is "joking" about something, like the fact that he said he can play in the MLB and that he will play in the NFL after he wins a championship, he is being completely serious.
But he can also joke around a lot and is an easy guy to root for. He is funny and knows his audience for sure, and maybe the biggest thing is he is unapologetically himself. Fans love that. And speaking of fans, and while we are talking about him, there is a moment between Ant and a fan that recently surfaced, and it's absolutely hilarious.
In a video of what looked like Anthony Edwards taking a fan shopping, the young fan said that Edwards would never dunk on him. Now, he should have known Ant was going to say something back and that he likely shouldn't have said that because Edwards is known for dunking on people, but the line that Edwards hit him with after is just funny.
"Come get your stuff before you get dunked on," Edwards said with a serious face.
It's good to see Edwards doing something for the community but also having a bit of fun with his fans. He does have one of the bigger fanbases when it comes to the young players in the league. Fans love him, and he doesn't hesitate to joke around with them.
