Minnesota Timberwolves fans are gearing up for the start of the NBA season. With just four weeks and one day remaining until media day, and only 30 days left until the start of training camp, it is really starting to feel like basketball is just around the corner.

In the meantime, plenty of Timberwolves fans will likely be keeping up with the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL until basketball season officially gets underway. There is certainly some crossover between basketball fans and football fans in Minneapolis.

When die-hard Timberwolves fans think of the Vikings, they likely think of one thing in particular: the iconic photo of Kevin Garnett and Randy Moss taken in 2000. The photo depicts Moss, a Hall-of-Fame NFL wide receiver wearing Garnett's number 21 Timberwolves jersey and holding a basketball, while KG stands behind Randy and sports Moss' Vikings jersey, while holding a football.

It has since become an extremely iconic photo among Minnesota sports fans. With how popular it is, many have suggested that Anthony Edwards and current Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson re-create the photo. Until recently, those suggestions had fallen on deaf ears.

But this week, it has been announced that Edwards and Jefferson will officially convene to give the people what they want and re-create the iconic image. The news was reported by Alex Conover, photographer for Prep Hoops.

Nothing has been officially revealed about how the picture will look. It is still unclear if the two will attempt to do a direct mock-up of the original image, or if they will put their own unique spin on it. Knowing the personality of Edwards, it would be far from surprising if he chooses the latter.

The re-created picture is expected to be released sometime this fall. With the NFL season beginning next weekend and the NBA season roughly seven weeks away, we can likely expect to see it sometime before basketball season is officially underway and both athletes' schedules are heavily occupied.
