Saturday afternoon will feature a more-than-familiar opponent for the Minnesota Timberwolves. With an early tipoff set for 2:00 PM CT, the Wolves will welcome their old friends, the Denver Nuggets, to Target Center for what will be the second of four meetings with their Western Conference rivals this season.

These two teams obviously have plenty of history over the last couple seasons. After Denver knocked Minnesota out of the playoffs in the first round in 2023, the Timberwolves got their payback with a thrilling Game 7 victory over the then-defending champions in the Western Conference semifinals in 2024. Now, both these teams look a bit different than when they met in last year's playoffs.

The Nuggets have been on a roll recently, winning eight of their last nine games overall. They will come into the Twin Cities as winners of four in a row, and facing a Timberwolves team that has lost four of its last seven. Once again, efficiency on offense in the fourth quarter will be a big factor in determining if Minnesota can pull out another win versus Denver.

Timberwolves projected starting lineup vs Nuggets

Although we got an update on Friday regarding Donte DiVincenzo's recovery timeline, he is not back in the lineup yet. Mike Conley is likely to be Chris Finch's starting point guard once again on Saturday.
