After a thrilling win over the Clippers at home on Monday, the Minnesota Timberwolves will return to action on the second night of a back-to-back in New Orleans. They will take on a Pelicans team that has seriously struggled throughout the first half of the 2024-25 season.
New Orleans holds just a 7-29 record, and they come into Tuesday having won two games in a row, both against the Washington Wizards. This will be an extremely winnable contest for the Wolves, but they can not take their opponent lightly.
Minnesota will have to continue finding ways to be successful offensively, and perhaps this game against the Pelicans will allow them to test some new things out with less risk than when playing against a top-level contender. Right along those lines, Anthony Edwards will look to continue his hot scoring after putting up 90 points in the last two contests combined.
Timberwolves projected starting lineup vs Pelicans
After Chris Finch went with an unexpected starting lineup change against the Clippers on Monday, it is unclear if he will revert to the usual starting lineup. For now, it feels safe to assume he will roll with Donte DiVincenzo over Mike Conley again, unless something changes.
Donte DiVincenzo
Anthony Edwards
Jaden McDaniels
Julius Randle
Rudy Gobert
