Tuesday will mark the final game of the 2024 calendar year for the Minnesota Timberwolves, as they travel to face the Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City Thunder on the road. The Wolves will look to continue playing smart basketball, and extend their winning streak to four games.
Lately, experimenting with different lineups within the game combined with some strong contributions from role players has led to Minnesota stringing some wins together once again. Their once-stagnant offense is beginning to show some signs of life, and more things are making sense for this group.
With all that in mind, they will have a tall task ahead of them in trying to take down Oklahoma City. The Thunder are in the midst of the best start in franchise history when it comes to win-loss record. At 26-5, OKC has barreled their way through the regular season, and they sit a full five games ahead of the second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies in the standings. Nothing less than the Timberwolves' A-game will give them a chance of winning at Paycom Center on Tuesday night.
