While Joel Embiid is clearly one of the greatest big men of a generation, it is also not a secret that he has a lot of doubters and haters. Minnesota Timberwolves fans and other fanbases around the league enjoy rooting against him for a number of reasons, perhaps the biggest of which being his shortcomings in the playoffs.

For one reason or another, Embiid has never been to a conference finals in his eight full seasons on the court as a professional. He has just about all the individual success and accolades one could ask for, but the team achievements in the postseason are what is lacking from his resume.

Additionally, he is known to routinely manipulate referee calls as part of his on-court strategy. In other words, he flops a lot. During Minnesota's win over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night, Timberwolves color commentator Jim Petersen decided to go on an impassioned rant regarding Embiid, calling him out for his antics. While a bit random given that Embiid and his team were not in the building, the video of Petersen's rant still made rounds on social media.

Jim Petersen went on an impassioned tirade on Embiid

Calling back to a few games ago when Joel Embiid was ejected while playing against the Spurs, Petersen delivered a tirade calling out the Sixers' star for what he deems as hypocritical behavior. "Embiid got tossed for complaining about a flop that Wemby went through," said Petersen. "There's so much that bothers me about this video. First of all, he got really angry. I wish he would be as angry about not playing games as he is about a call the referee made.

"Second part of it is that, I mean, he's the ultimate flopper. Is there a worse flopper in the game than Joel Embiid? That dude gets so many calls, and for him to be that angry about a flop, he's got a lot of nerve." For Wolves fans that were listening live on the broadcast, this rant was sure to bring some laughter and smiles, just as it did to Petersen's play-by-play commentator, Michael Grady.

One comment from a Timberwolves fan account says it all: "Where's the lie?" While Jim Pete may have been slightly off-topic, he did not speak an incorrect word on the subject. Embiid, while a great player, certainly did not have much room to complain about a flop given his play style.
