There has been a lot of good news involving the Minnesota Timberwolves as of late. The team earned their fourth consective victory against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday after Chris Finch got ejected (potentially on purpose?) in the third quarter. On top of that, while many fans probably want the team to make a trade ahead of the deadline, it is probably better that they don't. And it looks like Minnesota's roster will in all likelihood remain the same by the time Feb. 6 rolls around, which is ultimately a good thing.

The latest positive news to come to Wolves fans came in the form of the All-Star reserve announcements, which were made on Thursday evening. With the full list of All-Stars now revealed, it appears Anthony Edwards will be among the players participating when All-Star weekend rolls around in San Francisco.

Anthony Edwards will be an All-Star in 2025

The full list of reserves in the West were Anthony Edwards, Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Davis, James Harden, Jaren Jackson Jr., Alperen Sengun and Jalen Williams. This whole announcement comes one week after the All-Star starters were announced. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Stephen Curry were selected to be the two starting guards for the West this year.

With Edwards on the outside of the starting group (and funny enough, with Karl-Anthony Towns named as a starter in the East), Timberwolves fans were left to wait and see if Ant would get the honor he deserved. Thankfully, the coaches who held the power of determining All-Stars did the right thing and put Edwards among this elite group.

It is a much-deserved honor for Ant in his fifth professional season. Minnesota's franchise star is averaging career-highs in points per game and three-point percentage, all while facing some of the toughest defense he has seen in his career.
