The Minnesota Timberwolves are in Utah for a Friday night matchup with the Jazz, which will take place on the second night of a back-to-back. Thursday evening, the Wolves lost a close contest to the Los Angeles Lakers after Anthony Edwards missed the majority of the second half following being issued his second technical foul of the ballgame.
With that technical being his 16th of the season, Edwards received an automatic suspension from the league. Some wondered if either of his technicals against the Lakers would be rescinded, but a Friday release from the NBA confirmed that Ant would indeed be suspended for one game. That means Minnesota will be without its best player when going up against the Jazz.
Thursday's game saw the much-anticipated return of Donte DiVincenzo to the Wolves' lineup. After being out since the middle of January, he was back in the lineup and registered nine points, five rebounds and six assists. DiVincenzo is questionable for Friday, but Chris Finch stated that he will have a minutes restriction if he does play. Rudy Gobert also remains out against the Jazz as he recovers from his back issue.
